EROWA’s June 2026 article describes an expansion of its Robot Six modular system with a drawer magazine and an automatic screwdriving station, bringing pallet handling and raw-part handling into a combined setup. The company presents it as a way to connect different workpiece flows in one automated production environment. Read the original EROWA update.
Why the interface still matters
Automation is not only about the robot or magazine. EROWA’s separate 2026 article on CNC loading systems discusses the interaction of clamping technology, workpiece handling, automation, process control, and measurement or referencing systems. That is a helpful way to frame a workholding review: each interface and hand-off needs to suit the process it serves. See EROWA’s CNC automation article.
For manufacturers already using an EROWA ITS-style interface, the practical question may be whether a particular chuck, holder, pallet or accessory can be used in the intended position and with the actual mounting arrangement. A system name or a similar-looking part alone is not enough evidence.
What to verify before selecting a compatible component
- Interface and reference: record the installed system family and the complete original part reference, including suffixes.
- Machine-side mounting: check base dimensions, hole pattern, orientation, installation space and any required drawbar or air connection.
- Automation hand-off: confirm the holder or pallet profile, gripper contact, approach clearance and handling sequence against the actual cell requirements.
- Application conditions: note the process, workpiece or electrode, quantity, and whether flushing or cleaning arrangements affect the setup.
These checks are application-specific. The information on a PLUS AUTO product page describes that PLUS AUTO model; a corresponding original-system reference is provided for comparison and is not, by itself, proof that a complete robotic cell has been validated.
Where PLUS AUTO fits
PLUS AUTO publishes independent workholding components designed for EROWA ITS-compatible and System 3R Macro-style interfaces, including chucks, holders, pallets, spigots, drawbars and accessories. Product pages identify the stated compatibility type and available model information. They do not claim EROWA endorsement or universal compatibility with every machine, robot, gripper or automated process.
Use the EROWA-compatible catalogue to review the published range, or browse chucks by model and reference. For a fit review, send the PLUS AUTO model or original reference together with a drawing or clear installation photos through our compatibility-check form.
