Engineering guide

How to confirm workholding compatibility before ordering.

Use the existing interface, original reference, machine mounting and application details to reduce selection risk for EROWA- or System 3R-compatible components.

Five checks

Match the complete setup, not only the system name.

Compatibility depends on the interface and the surrounding components. Confirm each point before treating a product as interchangeable.

01
Identify the complete system

Record whether the current setup is EROWA-compatible ITS, System 3R-compatible Macro, or another interface. A similar product shape is not enough to establish compatibility.

02
Find the original reference

Photograph or record the original chuck, holder, pallet, spigot or drawbar number. The reference helps narrow the comparison, but the complete assembly still needs review.

03
Check the mounting arrangement

Confirm machine-table hole pattern, base dimensions, vertical or horizontal orientation, drawbar type, flushing or air-cleaning requirements and available installation space.

04
Separate product and reference data

Treat PLUS AUTO dimensions and specifications as product data. Parameters identified as EROWA or System 3R reference data describe the comparison interface and are not automatically PLUS AUTO test results.

05
Send evidence when fit is uncertain

Provide a drawing, catalogue page or clear installation photos showing the interface and mounting side. Include the machine, application, quantity and the PLUS AUTO model under review.

Examples to review

Products with different compatibility questions.

These examples show why the reference, mounting arrangement and application should be reviewed together.

Independent manufacturer notice
