Record whether the current setup is EROWA-compatible ITS, System 3R-compatible Macro, or another interface. A similar product shape is not enough to establish compatibility.
Engineering guide
How to confirm workholding compatibility before ordering.
Use the existing interface, original reference, machine mounting and application details to reduce selection risk for EROWA- or System 3R-compatible components.
Five checks
Match the complete setup, not only the system name.
Compatibility depends on the interface and the surrounding components. Confirm each point before treating a product as interchangeable.
Photograph or record the original chuck, holder, pallet, spigot or drawbar number. The reference helps narrow the comparison, but the complete assembly still needs review.
Confirm machine-table hole pattern, base dimensions, vertical or horizontal orientation, drawbar type, flushing or air-cleaning requirements and available installation space.
Treat PLUS AUTO dimensions and specifications as product data. Parameters identified as EROWA or System 3R reference data describe the comparison interface and are not automatically PLUS AUTO test results.
Provide a drawing, catalogue page or clear installation photos showing the interface and mounting side. Include the machine, application, quantity and the PLUS AUTO model under review.
Examples to review
Products with different compatibility questions.
These examples show why the reference, mounting arrangement and application should be reviewed together.
WEDM setup review
Positioning requirements change the fixture choice.
For wire EDM, confirm the workpiece shape, adjustment method, machine mounting and cutting clearance—not only the ITS interface.
Workpiece and adjustment
Record the workpiece shape and whether the job needs fixed, angular or three-axis positioning before comparing fixtures.
Machine mounting
Confirm the machine-table grid or mounting arrangement and make sure the fixture orientation matches the intended cut.
Wire path and clearance
Provide a drawing or installation photo when surrounding clearance, wire access or the complete interface arrangement is uncertain.
EROWA and System 3R product names and reference numbers are used only to identify compatibility. PLUS AUTO is an independent manufacturer and is not affiliated with or endorsed by either company.
